When I Am God by Oh, Sleeper

This album has become my new little obsession. I wish I was good at writing music reviews, but I’m not, and I could never do this album justice with words of praise anyway. I am so unbelievably annoyed. Words cannot express. “I didn’t know these people existed. Where were they when Bush was president?” WHAT? Give me a frickin’ break. Where were YOU when Bush was president? Oh, nevermind. Just because people weren’t protesting en masse when Bush signed the USA PATRIOT Act doesn’t make them ANY less right for protesting now. Better late than never. It wasn’t even like it was explicitly an anti-Obama rally, even though the apathy-advocating, racism-promoting, entertainment-based-society-building mainstream media (who want to distract you by making you think it’s all a war between “left” and “right”) said it was. It wasn’t about party politics AT ALL.
